Version 2026-10 · Effective 15 October 2026
These terms are a service agreement draft for NetPesa. The system owner should have local counsel review it before using it as a signed commercial contract.
The business owner must provide accurate names, contact details, national identification details and service locations, keep account credentials private, and notify NetPesa promptly of unauthorized access or inaccurate records. The owner is responsible for authorized users, agents and devices using the account.
NetPesa provides tools to manage hotspot packages, vouchers, payments, devices and reporting. The owner remains responsible for internet service, network security, lawful resale, customer notices, tax and operating permits, RouterOS and Omada configuration, and the terms offered to WiFi customers. Router or upstream provider outages can interrupt service.
Each registered location has its own 30-day subscription. A location subscription must be renewed to continue selling access there. When it expires, NetPesa hides that location’s paid packages from the captive portal and blocks new paid sales for that site until renewal is confirmed. The business account, dashboard, historical sales, vouchers, reports and configuration remain available; expiry alone does not delete the account or its records. Renewal takes effect after the payment provider confirms the required amount.
Fees and renewal prices are shown before collection. Payment requests are processed only through the payment service configured by NetPesa. A payment is not treated as complete until a matching confirmation is received. NetPesa does not promise that an initiated mobile-money request will succeed. The WiFi owner remains responsible for customer refunds and disputes unless a supported payment refund service is expressly enabled. Subscription fees already consumed for an active period are not refundable except where required by applicable law or agreed in writing.
The owner must not use NetPesa to facilitate fraud, unlawful access, harassment, unsolicited messages, payment abuse, security attacks, credential theft, or activity that disrupts another customer, network or service. NetPesa may investigate credible reports and may suspend an account or affected location where reasonably necessary to stop a violation, protect users or comply with law. Where practicable, NetPesa will give the owner a reason and a way to contact support. Suspension blocks login and service access while it is in effect. NetPesa may terminate an account for serious or repeated violations. A deleted account is disabled and retained as a restricted record unless a lawful deletion request or retention duty requires another treatment.
The owner controls the customer and voucher information entered for its WiFi business and is responsible for having a lawful basis to collect it and for giving customers required notices. NetPesa processes account, network, payment and usage data to operate the service, secure accounts, provide support, prevent abuse and meet legal obligations. NetPesa will apply reasonable safeguards and restrict staff access to operational needs. Data may be retained for account history, dispute handling, security and legal obligations. Owners should export records they need for their own books.
The owner authorizes NetPesa to use the RouterOS API credentials and private tunnel details deliberately supplied for the selected devices. The owner must restrict those credentials to necessary permissions and protect the router and tunnel. Payment, email, SMS, Omada and router integrations depend on third-party availability and correct credentials. NetPesa is not responsible for outages or actions by those providers.
NetPesa is provided with reasonable care but may be unavailable for maintenance, security work, provider failures or events beyond reasonable control. To the extent permitted by law, NetPesa excludes indirect loss, lost profit and loss caused by the owner’s network, device, account sharing or third-party provider. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. NetPesa’s aggregate liability for a claim is limited to subscription fees paid for the affected location in the three months before the event, except where applicable law prevents that limit.
NetPesa may update features and these terms. Material changes will be presented in the service or sent to the registered email. Continued use after the effective date means acceptance where permitted by law. Contact NetPesa using the support contact shown in the owner dashboard.
These terms are governed by the laws of Uganda, subject to mandatory consumer and data-protection rights. The parties will first try to resolve disputes in good faith and may use the courts with jurisdiction in Uganda.
